Katie was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. She grew up with an empathic heart and a desire to help others, especially in the medical profession setting. She received her Bachelors in Psychology at Texas Woman’s University and went on to work as a Medical Assistant for several years. After experiencing a couple of rough pregnancies and labor experiences, Katie switched her passion to focus more on women’s health, particularly those in the prenatal, labor, & postpartum periods, and she became a certified birth doula. Additionally, she loves being able to interact and help the patients at Genesis with their plan of care!

Katie is married to her best friend & loves spending time with him! She has a wonderfully kind bonus daughter, a sweet & sassy daughter, & is expecting a rainbow baby (another girl)! In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading a good book, spending time outdoors, and gardening!
