Meet Katie Lloyd

Katie was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. She grew up with an empathic heart and a desire to help others, especially in the medical profession setting. She received her Bachelors in Psychology at Texas Woman’s University and went on to work as a Medical Assistant for several years. After experiencing a couple of rough pregnancies and labor experiences, Katie switched her passion to focus more on women’s health, particularly those in the prenatal, labor, & postpartum periods, and she became a certified birth doula.

Her mission as a doula is to support and empower women through their childbearing and postpartum journeys with kindness, knowledge, and advocacy. Katie finds her work deeply fulfilling as she helps bring new life into the world and supports families during this transformational time of shifting into postpartum. Additionally, she loves being able to interact and help the patients at Genesis with their plan of care!

Katie is married to her best friend & loves spending time with him! She has a wonderfully kind bonus daughter, a sweet & sassy daughter, & is expecting a rainbow baby (another girl)! In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading a good book, spending time outdoors, and gardening!
